I must warn you...
this was made for Ruliweb's (Korean gaming site) comics section. Not only does it have characters from that comics board, the cultural context is very Korean... I will try to explain it as much as I can... Did you know it's not only Koreans in the Asian country that eat dogs? Most of eastern Asians eat dogs. With an exception of Japanese... maybe... koreans get the most flak for the way they slaughter the dog. Anyways... I digress... Koreans have this day called "Boknal". Literally translated as "Blessed Day"... I think... Well, it's supposed to be the hottest day of the year and they say that's the best day to eat dogs... to fight off high heat of the day. -_- Anyways, I tried to make fun of the fact that if Amaterasu ended up in Korea, it probably had more fatalistic end... But, I don't think it is translating that well... This definitely goes under "Lost in Translation" category... Edit: Gah... spelling error... I am too tired to fix it right now... I will fix it sometime this weekend and repost... |
