Here are more technical part of the environment sketches I did. Basically, it was finding the right reference and modify it slightly to make it work with the gameplay. Again, the LDs usually have clear idea as to what they want from how the game will play out. this makes the job a lot easier because the layout is pretty much done. I just have to make it look interesting. This formula worked really good during the production process too. I will explain those later.
First three sketches are designs of heavy concrete bunkers. The last one with 88mm was done because hte lead LD made a special request. Like I said, i conentrated on making it look like the context of that environment looks believable. But, not just throw props around. But, make it look interesting. Like you can tell what was going on by looking at how things are layed out.
I like that last image a lot. I think I overdid it a bit... and it was never used for the game. oh well... it happens all the time.
