I'm on a fanart spree these days...

I decided not to go too wild on this one...

Another childhood favorite cartoon of mine... Inspector Gadget! Whenever I watched Gadget, I sort of had the same feeling I had watching Road Runner cartoons and Smurfs.... I wanted Dr. Claw to catch Gadget for good and get it over with... (same way Wile E and Gargamel would put Road Runner and smurfs out of their misery... you get the point).

Anyways, another series I immensely enjoyed in last few years was the Azumanga Daioh series.

These two comics/cartoons are not my sttyle at all. I am not into only character driven random episode based storylines. But, somehow, these two found a special place in my memory!!!

I almost forgot to mention... in the Inspector Gadget series, one character I just couldn't figure out was Penny. She was like an adult trapped in a child's body. Not to mention she was a computer geek/genious. Whatever the case, her character ended up being so flat to me. So, in my attempt to spice up Penny's character, I decided to put my two favorite properties together. Since Azumanaga Daioh ends with Chiyo Chan leaving to America to study (if you con't know Chiyo Chan, just know that she is about Penny's age... a child genious who bumped up her grades from elemantary school to high school... natural candidate for Penny's role), I decided her accentric friends and teachers (I can't explain everything here. Go buy the comic books/dvd!) "forced" her to dye her color blond and change her name to "Penny". And her legal guardian in US is an uncle who is a detective (guess who~?).

As far as Brain is concerned... um... let's say he couldn't make it to the design session... and I had to use the cameo.... Just kidding. the premise is that certain animation company decided to dump all clay/puppet animation in favor of 3D animation. So, they dumped all their props. Penny/Chiyo finds "the dog". And made him into a cyborg pet. And named him "Brain". Oh yeah~! (Honestly... Gromit is a perfect Brain.)

Almost forgot another one... the title... Azumangazin Azumangadget.... Obviously play on words just like how Azumanga Daioh was... "Azumangazin" sounds like "completely messed up" in Korean. "Azumangadget" is a combination of "Azumanga"+"Gadget".
