Hm... I was really looking forward to this product but it sounds like it has some significant issues.
Bottom line... It sounds like current version of Inkling is like overpriced Beta product... But if you now how to work around with some issues, it could be a cool tool.
Just like any device with new interface, there are some things with this device that requires users to get used to...
*It uses infrared signal between the pen and the sensor. So you have to make sure that the sensor does not move around (which makes it less mobile), not let your fingers to get in the way of the sensor, and don't have direct sunlight on where you are sketching (again, makes it hard to work with this outdoor with direct sunlight).
*More you move away from the sensor, the accuracy goes down, I think you will have better chance putting the sensor side way than on top of the sketchbook.
*Do not use the exporter option on the bundled software. Get the file directly from Photoshop/Illustrator/Sketchup.
This device should have been priced at around $100. Not $200.
